Andrea Carè

Andrea Carè graduates from Turin Conservatory of Music. In 2005 he won the International Competition for young opera singers in Spoleto, where he met Raina Kabaivanska (Chair of the jury). Carè started his training with Raina Kabaivanska at Vecchi-Tonelli Music Institute in Modena and in her master classes at Academia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and New Bulgarian University. In Modena Raina Kabaivanska introduced him to Luciano Pavarotti and thus Carè became his last student.

Andrea Carè is defined as one of the best Italian tenors. He is a soloist of the most prestigious world opera theatres - Covent Garden in London, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro Liceo in Barcelona, San Carlo in Naples, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, La Fenice in Venice, Vienna State Opera, Staatsoper in Hamburg, Rome Opera, Royal Opera House in Stockholm, La Monnaie in Brussels, Finnish National Opera, Teatro Reggio in Parma, Queen Sofia Palace of the Arts in Valencia as well as the theatres in Geneva, Bari, Bologna, Strasbourg, Trieste, Turin, Michigan etc.

His repertoire includes: Ismail from „Nabucco“, Alfredo Germont from „La traviata“, Gustav from „Un Ballo in Maschera“, Radames from „Aida“, Don Carlos from „Don Carlos“ by Verdi, Pollione from „Norma“ by Bellini, Mario Cavaradossi from „Tosca“, Pinkerton from „Madama Butterfly“ by Puccini, Don Jose from „Carmen“ by Bizet, Count Loris Ipanov from „Fedora“ by Giordano, Shteva Buria in „Yanufa“ by Janacek.
