Vittoria Yeo in the role of Joan of Arc

 

On October 2, 2016, the young soprano Ms. Vitoria Yeo performed the role of Joan of Arc from the eponymous opera by Verdi at the Teatro Farnese in Parma, Italy. Directors of the performance were Peter Greenaway and Saskia Boddeke. Partners of Yeo on stage were Luciano Ganci, Vittorio Vitelli, Luciano Leoni with conductor Ramon Tebar. Among the special guests at the premiere was the great opera actress Mrs. Kabaivanska, which has worked with Yeo to improve her performing skills in the master classes at Academia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, Music Institute Vecchi-Tonelli in Modena, Italy and at the New Bulgarian University Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

 

Vittoria holds degrees in opera singing from the University in Seoul and the Arrigo Boito Music Conservatory in Parma, Italy. She has won many international competitions in Italy including Magda Olivero International Voice Competition, Pietro Mongini International Competition for Young Opera Singers and Maria Malibran International Singing Competition. In 2015 and 2016 the young singer made a remarkable debut as Lady Macbeth on the stage of the Festivals in Ravenna and Savonlinna, Madame Butterfly at Teatro La Fenice, Elvira in Ernani at the Salzburg Festival with conductor Riccardo Muti. Yeo has also performed at many concerts with Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini of Parma, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
