Elisa Cho

soprano ( South Korea)

 

      She began her studies in Seoul. Since 2010 she has been studying with Raina Kabaivanska at Vecchi-Tonelli Music Institute in Modena, in her master classes atNew Bulgarian University and at Chigiana Academy in Siena. She was a laureate of Colzani competition. In 2010 she was selected by the Music Association of Korea as the best young progressive artist. In 2011 she won a scholarship of the Bayreuth Festival and in the summer of 2012 the Academy of Music in Frankfurt awarded her the prestigious Transition Classic Prize.

      She has performed as a soloist of Staatsoper in Wiesbaden, making her debut at Israeli Opera House in Tel Aviv. She has performed in Italy, Germany andSouth Korea.


      Her repertoire includes: Aida, Amelia in “Un ballo in maschera” by Verdi, Cio-Cio-San in “Madama Butterfly” by Puccini and others.
