      She graduated from the Conservatory in Salerno and since 2009 has studied to improve her skills under the guidance of Raina Kabaivanska at Vecchi-Tonelli Music Institute in Modena and in the master classes at New Bulgarian University. Winner of the competition
for young opera singers of the European Community in Spoleto.


      Maria Agresta is a star of the modern world opera. She has been engaged in some of the most prestigious opera theatres – Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, Covent Garden in London, Paris Opera House, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Arena di
Verona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Bavarian State Opera, Vienna Opera, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Palais des Arts in Valencia, State Opera in Berlin, Lyric Opera House in Chicago, Teatro San Carlo in Palermo, Opera theatres in Monte Carlo, Zurich, etc.


      Her repertoire includes: “Norma” and Elvira in “I Puritani” by Bellini, Violetta in “La Traviata”, Lucrezia Contarini in “I due Foscari”, Leonora in “Il Trovatore”, Desdemona in “Otello”, Alice Ford in “Falstaff”, Amelia Grimaldi in “Simon Boccanegra”, Leonora in “La forza del destino” and “La messa da Requiem” by Verdi, Mimi in “La Bohème” and Liu in “Turandot” by Puccini, Michaela in “Carmen” by Bizet, Neda in “Pagliacci” by Leoncavallo, Margarita in “Faust” by Gounod and others.
