Ho avuto la fortuna e l'onore di poter ascoltare ieri sera in Sala Bulgaria la Sig.ra Raina Kabainvaska che conoscevo solo per fama. E' incredibile come la sua voce ancora possente sia riuscita a trasmettermi una grandissima emozione e chissa' se tra le tante ovazioni che ha meritatamente ricevuto ed i tanti "bravo" (alla bulgara) ha percepito quel "bravissima" proveniente da un italiano. She is as phenomenal as the young Cho Cho San as the 347 year old Elena Macropolus! Raina Kabaivanska is a listener's delight and a composer's dream. She interprets each role exactly as the composer hoped. She is an actress and singer without peer. She is as graceful as a ballerina, and simply beautiful of visage! She is as much a scholar as she is an artist. She is as generous as she is talented. Her modesty is deep and sincere! Viva Raina! Bless your beautiful soul!

Dear Ms. Kabaivanska: I have seen several times your Buttefly from Verona (1983) in TV. I would like to buy that Video... You are the Best Buterfly I have ever seen... What voice! what acting! I like to think that after you sing " son' Io che l'amo" , after Cio-Cio=San reads the name "Abramo Lincoln"in the ship , then you embraced yourself so strongly and deeply felt, that I think you lost your balance and felt to the ground, I wonder if that was part of the production or that you just FELL; the ypu had to star singing the Fluor Duet lying on the floor. I never saw any Buttefly do that; but I tnink that is the Best Part of the Opera. I wonder if you have time to read these mesagges in your page; if you do: I tell you: you are GREAT ; as Butterfly, Tosca, Desdemona, Amelia. and all the chraractes you have sung. Bonjour, Mon commentaire concerne une petite erreur que j'ai relevée en lisant le chapitre Carrière. Le ténor avec qui Mme Kabaivanska étudie le chant en Italie est Ferruccio Tagliavini et non pas Franco Tagliavini. Je possède la majeure partie des enregistrements de la Diva. Magnifique!!! Christo

I was fortunate to hear you at the world's fair in San antonio, Texas in 1968. You were wonderful in don Carlo. I missed seeing your Leonora in Trovatore in Houston when you were unable to be there.
