The young opera singer Selene Zanetti – only twenty-eight years old student of Raina Kabaivanska, is a finalist of 2016 Belvedere opera competition, one of the most prestigious in the world. The competition took place in Cape Town, where 854 artists from all over the participated, but only 16 of them were selected for the final stage.
Selene Zanetti participated in the XV International Master class of Raina Kabaivanska in 2015 in Sofia. She became a scholarship holder of the Fund of the great opera singer at New Bulgarian University and continued her training at the Institute "Vecchi-Tonelli" in Modena. For the season 2015/2016 Selene won the second place and a special award for the best interpretation of Verdi at Viñas competition in Barcelona and the award of Madrid. This year the young soprano won the first prize at Marcella Pobbe competition, which took place in middle of April in Teatro Olimpico, Vicenza.
