Hae Kang

baritone (South Korea)

Hae Kang graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul. He specialized in the Academy for Young Singers of the Opera in Hannover and Conservatorio di musica “Giuseppe Verdi” di Como. Since 2021 he has been studying with Raina Kabaivanska in her master classes at New Bulgarian University and Music Institute "Vecchi - Tonelli" in Modena. Hae Kang is a three-time scholarship holder of Raina Kabaivanska Fund at New Bulgarian University (2021-2023). He is a prize-winner of the competition "Piero Cappuccilli" in Rome and Verdi's Voices of Busseto.
He debuted as Scarpia in "Tosca" at Opera Pienza, as Marcello in "La bohème" at Sofia Opera and Ballet House and at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, as Rodrigo in "Don Carlo" at Teatro Galli di Rimini, as Amonasro in "Aida" at Sofia Opera and Ballet.
"Besides singing, I learned from Raina Kabaivanska so many other things. Thanks to her way of thinking, she teaches us to be good people. I am very happy to be able to study with her,” shares Hae Kang.
