The training course “Puccini Interpretations” is aimed at young talents and artists from Italy and abroad and aims to expand knowledge, technique and interpretative aspects of Giacomo Puccini’s works.
A week of intensive study, both individual and collective, with lessons held personally by the soprano Raina Kabaivanska to improve vocal, musical and scenic. The lessons will be accompanied by the valuable collaboration of the soprano from Lucca Silvana Froli and master Otello Visconti and supported by partner Accademia Musicale della Versilia.
Participants will stay in single rooms in the ex-convent CONvictUS, located in the historic center of Lucca, where the activities of workshops and moments of conviviality will take place.
During the workshop participants will live a unique journey to discover the places that formed Giacomo Puccini while experiencing the atmosphere in which the composer used to seek calm and concentration to write his works.PROGRAMME12.08 Monday

13.08 Tuesday
Intervention of the soprano Silvana Froli on “Lucca: terra di Giacomo Puccini”. The morning will continue with the first group lesson by Raina Kabaivanska.
In the afternoon the individual lessons will begin and at the same time the first part of the lesson on “Stage Art” will take place. At the end of the day there will be a guided tour of the Museo Casa Natale Puccini in Lucca.
14.08 Wednesday
“La poetica di Giacomo Puccini: gli animi dei protagonisti” will open the third day of work. This will be followed by a group lesson. After lunch the individual lessons with Raina Kabaivanska continue, while the second part of the lesson on “Stage Art” will follow.
15.08 Thursday
The “Body Relaxation Techniques” workshop. Individual lessons. In the afternoon, during the individual lessons, the preparations for the public performance will begin in parallel.
16.08 Friday
“Giacomo Puccini: Man” is the theme of the morning speech. Individual and group lessons will follow.
The day will end in the secret garden of the CONvictUS with a performance of the workshop participants open to the public.
17.08 Saturday
Group lesson. In the afternoon visit to Villa Puccini in Torre del Lago and in the evening we will attend the performance of Turandot in the Gran Teatro all’aperto of Torre del Lago during the 65th Puccini Festival.
18.08 Sunday
Conclusion of the works and delivery of the works.
