Arsen Soghomonyan graduated opera singing from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan and was invited to the Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, where he performed numerous leading baritone roles. In 2006, he was awarded the State Prize of Armenia by the President of the Republic.
In 2008 and 2009, he participated in the masterclasses of Raina Kabaivanska at New Bulgarian University and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. He is a scholarship holder of Raina Kabaivanska Fund at New Bulgarian University.
In 2010, he joined the ensemble of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Opera Theater in Moscow, where he made his debut as a tenor in 2017. His international career began the following year with the role of Roberto in Le Villi, performed with London Philharmonic Orchestra. This was followed by debuts and performances at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Bolshoi Theater, Bavarian State Opera, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Vienna State Opera, and many others. In 2025 and 2026, Soghomonyan also makes his debut at Royal Opera House in London and Metropolitan Opera in New York.
He has worked with leading conductors from several generations, including Zubin Mehta, Mark Elder, Daniel Oren, Nayden Todorov, Tugan Sokhiev, Alberto Zedda, Michele Mariotti, Gianandrea Noseda, Nicola Luisotti, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Giampaolo Bisanti, and others. On the stage, he has partnered with many of the currently great opera singers: Maria Agresta, Anna Pirozzi, Elīna Garanča, Juliana Grigoryan, Sonya Yoncheva, Aleksandra Kurzak etc.
His repertoire includes: Cavaradossi in Tosca, Otello in Otello, Canio in Pagliacci, Calaf in Turandot, Hermann in Pique Dame, Radamès in Aida, and many others.
