She graduated from the Music Academy “M. Lisenko” in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2000 she moved to Italy, where she studied with Raina Kabaivanska at the Academy in Osimo and at Chigiana Academy in Siena. She won prizes at the competitions “Corradetti”, “Ottavio
Zino”, “Tagliavini” and “Viotti”.
Sofia Soloviy has performed as a soloist at the National Opera in Lviv, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, La Fenice in Venice, Royal Opera of Wallonia, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Queen Sofia Arts Centre in Valencia, opera theatres in Padua, Bergamo, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Osimo, Martina Franca, Klagenfurt etc.
Her repertoire includes: “Alcina” by Handel, Donna Elvira and Donna Anna in “Don Giovanni”, Electra in “Idomeneo” and Vitellia in “La clemenza di Tito” by Mozart, Jane Seymour in “Anne Boleyn” by Donizetti, “Manon Lescaut” by Puccini, Neda in “Pagliacci” by Leoncavallo, Lucrezia Contarini in “I due Foscari”, Elena in “La forza del destino”, Amalia in “I Masnadieri” and “La messa da Requiem” by Verdi, “Alceste” by Gluck, “Salome” by Strauss, “Stabat Mater” by Pergolesi.
